Ribston Pippin: (mid-season) – The Ribston Pippin is a classic dessert apple in England – one of the best for eating, cooking and cider. It has a yellow flushed bright orange fruit with red blush, often sprinkled with a russet webbing at its base and apex. It makes up for its unattractive exterior with a hard, crisp, fine grained, extremely sugary flesh that offers a fine, rich flavor and a pleasant aroma. Originated in Yorkshire, England around 1700.
