Message from the Executive Director
We are asking you to support the work of the Ingham Conservation District.
A common misperception is that Conservation Districts are funded by the State of Michigan. While we do apply for state grants and request money from our county annually, the ICD is dependent on donations to sustain our day-to-day work. If everyone who benefits from our work gave just a little, we could continue and even expand what we provide. For the price of a latte a week you can make a real difference.
The ICD reaches out to residents of all ages across the entire county, providing opportunities to be directly involved with natural resource conservation and to encourage appreciation of the natural resources and ecosystems found here.
Most of these services and events are provided free of cost to county residents and local communities, but we need your support.
We are working hard to conserve the land and water we all depend on. If this work is important to you, your family, your production, or your community, please consider making a donation of $5, $10, $25 or whatever you can. Your support is crucial to our success in promoting environmental stewardship and a healthier community
